Once there were two brothers who loved their father with a fiery passion. Their father was good and kind, merciful and beneficent. He was their father and they were more proud of him and loved him more strongly than even the most skillful of writers can express, but as a writer is my duty to try. If they could pull the stars from the heavens they would hand them to their father rather than want the glory for themselves. If they could solve world hunger and be the most clever men there ever were they would turn around and thank their father for teaching them to be so much like Him. If they held all the money in the world in one hand and an ointment for their father’s sore feet in the other and they could only keep one thing, they would let the money fall to the ground and tend to their father because that is the Power of Love.
The brothers names were Jay and Emm and though they loved their father fiercely they disagreed in small ways in the best way to honor him. I guess you could call it sibling rivalry. Though they knew they were brothers the small differences became chasms and the fighting could be so intense that they became enemies and dug their feet in the ground to prepare for battle. Their father who had passed on looked down on them and wept. Two sons, loved equally, each with so much love for their father that they would never back down, never give in, each with enough sense to only surrender themselves to their father.
Jay and Emm both became teachers. Jay loved everyone and dedicated his life to teaching the beautiful ways of his father. Emm loved the orphans and wanted them to be safe in a scary world, his soul was just as beautiful as Jay and he knew that one day it would be necessary to ignite the world with the love of his father, with everyone surrendered to his wonderful ways.
Emm didn’t want women to be under so much pressure from the callous beauty industry that their self esteem was destroyed and they were driven to cosmetic surgery. He loved women too much. He knew that most women would rather raise their kids than work in a soulless office, otherwise they become like the orphan, lost in corporate daycare.
Jay knew that women must be educated and given choices over their own destiny, because their minds are also clever and creative. His love for women said they should be honoured for who they are as sisters and daughters of equal worth to men. But somehow the brothers could not see that their concepts were not at odds with one another at all.
One day they their father found a way to send them a letter, even though everyone said it could never be done. He said “You are both my sons and I am proud of you both. I love you. I love you. I love you. You will only succeed in honouring my ways by finding the concepts that unite you and remembering you are brothers. You were born with the only arms you will ever need. You were born with all the love you will ever need. Focus on my love for you and you can never be lost. I am your North and I keep my promises. Be true to your inner natures as the peace makers, wage Love on the world - show the world the Power of My Love and they will ask you to teach them. If you work with fear they will run from Me. Trust my Love to heal. Just walk and know that I am not only beside you but also in front and behind. I surround you with Love because it is every father’s right to protect his children and I am your Father.”
Emm and Jay sat back on the old wall that surrounded their old childhood home and looked at one another. Jay could see his father in Emm’s face and Emm could see his father in Jay. It was a difficult moment to see each other in their father’s perfect love but so beautiful that the spell that had bound them broke. They were free in love, it was hate and fear that were the chains all along.
Jay said “I taught them to love and still little girls are being targeted by psychologists to make them vulnerable to the beauty industry. They put Barbie dolls in their hands with impossible proportions so that no matter how beautiful they are in Father’s eyes they cannot believe it.” He looked mournfully at the ground, suddenly worried he had failed.
Emm put his hand on Jay’s broad shoulder, “Brother, you didn’t fail. Our teachings must work together. I do love you. I never wanted women to be abused or disrespected and how can they come to Father’s love if they cannot even read. Why would Father have made them so clever if they weren’t meant to use their brains?”
Jay looked at Emm like he’d never really seen him properly before. Emm looked at Jay with the same perfect love as their father. They turned over the letter to see more on the back. “My house must be a united house, but to do it you can only use the Power of Love and no other. Be strong. Know who you are. I love you. I love you. I love you. For now, you only need two rules. One: Do not kill. Two: Love thy neighbour. Now go. This is our time, this is our moment. Stay together. If Jay is called, Emm you go too. If Emm is called, Jay you go too. No separation. United you stand and you will be a blessing to all.”
